Which country in southeast Asia is best for a foreigner to set up a business?

Iam an indian want to set up a beer bar in any southeast asia country .pls tell me which country is flexible among south asian sountry for setting up a business ?

Thailand. Good infrastructure, touristy, good tax laws, good for logistics, simple for visiting (don't need visa for most nationalities). Easy access to resources from China and India, makes it cheaper to manufacture goods. Also economic growth, increase in FDI and growth of educated, skilled, yet extremely cheap labor. Dollar goes a long way there, and everything is so damn cheap! Laws are on the side of business and not people. Also more people compared to other southeast Asian countries speak English, which is good if you're not very good at speaking Thai. Singapore sucks, too many rules and competition.

Better invest in your homeland. Most countries will not allow you to set up a beer bar since they have only selected industries where a foreigner may invest. Further, most South East Asian countries will require you to have a local partner which puts your own investment into jeopardy.

Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia.

A lot of people have suggested Thailand, there are too many beer bars to start with, business polices, visa issues are very restrictive in Thailand, so there are much easier places in SEA

aha. definately singapore, heaps of people speak english there so you can understand. There are also many events in singapore where people look for bars to go to. When the celebrations occur, you can get 100s of people in your bar in one night!

Philippines is definltely a good choice, beautiful beaches, great turistic infrastructure and one of most prefered destination in Asia, plus hard working people with great service attitude, oh man! how I miss the Philippines.

Thailand seems a good place
