Where can I visit in Asia that is kid friendly?

I won a ticket to anywhere in Asia that has to be used this year. My husband and I would love to visit somewhere, but we have a three-year-old to take with us if we go. We have no clue where we could go in Asia that would be kid friendly also. Does anyone have any suggestions?

In your situation i think the best option is to go to places that offers excellent tourist attractions as well as excellent public transportation. With this in mind, i narrow down to these 3 countries / cities

Japan ( Tokyo ), Hong Kong and Singapore.

Tokyo - good public transportation, Disneyland, many latest toys / kiddies stuff which probably not available elsewhere, clean ( drawback - expensive citiy )

Hong Kong - good public transportation - Disneyland, a popular amusement park ( drawback - certain popular places might be a little over-crowded )

Singapore - good public transportation, great amusement park, popular Night Safari, extremely clean ( drawback - hot weather )

The next best option is Seoul (Korea).

Malaysia. Many shopping malls cater for children activities and the hotels are also kid friendly. There is the Sunway Lagoon theme park that your kid and both of you can enjoy in Kuala Lumpur, the capital, plus many more activities family can participate. Take a trip to Melaka, Penang or even to Langkawi up north for the lovely beach your child will definitely enjoy. Check source below to watch videos and learn more about Malaysia. Life here is at a slower pace than Singapore, Korea, Japan and less crowded too.

I would suggest Hong Kong.

1. People speak English

2. It is safe

3. They have very good public facilities (public transportation, hospitals, etc)

4. Lots of good stores, Hong Kong is the shopping hub of Asia

5. They have two amusement parks for your child to enjoy: Disneyland, and one other whose name I don't remember

I've been to Hong Kong twice and I love it there.

I suggest you go during the winter because the weather is more agreeable, the rest of the year is pretty hot and humid.

Korea and Japan are also very safe and well-developed but they can be quite hard to get around with just English.

Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Kho Samui, Chiang Mai, etc)

Philippines (Cebu, White Beach, Angeles, etc)

From Hong Kong:

If you have just a few days, Singapore and cities in China would be good for shopping and some sightseeing. (Tickets to Singapore from Hong Kong are really cheap)

From Seoul:

Perhaps Japan or Jeju island (I haven't been there myself but I heard it's really beautiful)

If you have more time, I would recommend Southeast Asian countries. There's lots to do in Vietnam, it's amazing there. And Thailand is great too.

Try the Philippines with its 7,100 islands, beaches, best dive sites, and hospitable, warm (including the weather) people.

and happy hot sun.
