What is the border between Africa and Asia?

Me and my roommate are disputing about what continent Israel is on and she said that Israel is in Africa. I always thought the border between Africa and Asia was the Suez Canal and if it is then there is no way Isreal can be in Africa. Can someone help me clear this up?

Isreal is on the tip of asia so it is part of asia.There is no way isral can be in Africa.

the country of ISRAEL is located in Asia & not Africa. the Suez Canal & the Red Sea separates the Asian & African continent.

Isreal IS in Asia, but the Sinai peninsula is in Africa, so the Egypt/Isreal border is the border between Africa and Aisa.

Yes, Israel is in Asia. I'm not sure of the exact border which most people would agree on, but it would be either side of the Sinai Peninsula, part of Egypt. It probably wouldn't be too hard too look up on the internet if you needed more info.
