What is the best option to teach English in Southeast Asia?

Two thousand a month in Thailand? I'm sorry, but I doubt it. I have a Master's in TESOL, and the most I've been offered there is 40,000 Baht, which equates to about 1,000 US a month. Stick to Japan (or Taiwan or Korea or anywhere with a REAL salary) and save Thailand for holidays. Also, if you are serious about Thailand, be warned: Scams are plentiful and most foreigners burn out from teaching there within a year.

For ICS411, you are required by law to have at least a bachelors degree to get a work visa in Japan, so any reputable school will require you to have one.

I have seemTELF requirements for both. One of better language schools in Bangkok is Pro Language on Sukhumvit Soi 12 (Times Square). Some people make good $$ by starting out in a decent school and then moving to corporate in-house teaching

I am answering a question with a question, sorry. I'm actually looking into moving to Japan and have been researching the options for teaching English. Most of the companies I have seen require a BA which I do not have. Do you know of any that do not require a BA?
