What are some of the best places to check out, in Asia?

I am visiting my friend in Korea, next May/June, for a few weeks. We will probably have time to fly to at least a couple other countries/cities/islands/etc. Any recommendations on really cool, must see places in Asia?

Try Clark, the former American base north of Manila. It's really beautiful. Better yet, indulge yourself with Filipino hospitality.
